Why do people use lip liner?

like does it make your lips look fuller or someting? just curious.Why do people use lip liner?
Yes it does make your lips look fuller. Also, it accents them %26amp; makes them stand out. Also, certain colors look better when you wear lip liner with them, examples would be if you wear a lip gloss that has a goldish hue to it, you might want to wear lip liner with that, but be careful how much liner you put on b/c you don't want to look like a clown lol. Be careful what color lip liner you wear. You want something that will look soft. If you have a very light complexion, you aren't going to want a dark brown liner, you'll want something much softer (many woman make the mistake of always wearing dark brown liip liner %26amp; they look stupid with it on). If you do choose to wear lip liner, please, DO NOT wear it while wearing eye liner b/c it will just be too much. However, if you do decide to wear eye liner while wearing lip liner, just make sure that you wear like a brown eye liner %26amp; NOT black. Brown will make it look softer.


Oh yeah, DO NOT only put it on the bottom b/c then it will look like your bottom lip is much bigger than your top lip, which will make you look weird lol. If you wear lipstick most people wear lipliner with it so that the lipstick doesn't bleed
I dont personally use it b/c i normally just wear eithe clear lip gloss or lip balm, but noramlly lip lner is used to:


#1. make your lips look a little fuller


#2. keep your lip gloss or stick from getting everywhere


#3. if you're wearing lip gloss or stick, it helps it last longer if you fill in your lips really lightly with the lip liner.


#4. when you use a lip liner that matches your gloss/stick (which you should other wise it looks tacky and just bad), it helps to fill in the little lines on your lip where your lipstick might have missed.

it is to make the lip look fuller. also woman as they get older tend to get lines around their mouths. lipstick tends to run into these and liner helps to slow that down.





if you try a lip liner you want it to be as close to the lipstick color as you can get it, it will blend better and not make you look like a clown.

Yes of course. Lip liner helps define the shape of your lips and makes them pop a little bit. You have to know how to apply lip liner or you'll just look stupid.

I don't use lip-liner, but I guess that this is why:


1. Yes, it does make your lips look fuller.


2. It puts more emphasis on your lips, as well as the color of lipstick, which adds to attractiveness.
Older people use lip liner to keep their lipstick from bleeding. Younger people usually color in the whole lip then add the lipstick to make it last all day long. Usually like if your the bride of a wedding cause the toasting and kissing and everything would wipe it off without the lipliner.
A lot of the time people use it under their lipstick because it makes it last longer. But you can also outline your lips and make them appear a little larger.
Lip liner is was just made to outline your lips for a good shape when applying lipstick, but people use it to make there lips look fuller
When I was younger I never used it and once I tried it, I'll use it forever.


It creates a border so your lipstick doesn't bleed out and it can actually make your lipstick stay on longer.


I line my lips and then put more kind of coloring them in, then put the lipstick on over that, it lasts longer that way.
i personally don't use it.. but it helps to outline you lips and makes them appear to be big, rounder, and fuller. lip liner always has to be darker than the color of you lips (w/ lipstick on or off) cause a light lip liner would have the opposite effect.
I don't use it on my self or when I am doing someone else's.





It does make your lips look bigger, if you want your lips to look bigger there are other ways of doing it
idk either... i think maybe because their lip color is really close to their face color so they want it to be more defined

i have NO idea, lip liner always looks like it came off an 80's hooker. lip liner is out everyone, please stop using it!
I personally use it b/c I think it makes your smile stand out more!! But I only put it on the bottom. :~D
Lipliner does many things. It keeps the lipstick from bleeding, it helps the lipcolor last longer and it also makes your lips look fuller!!! Very wonderful!!!
