you know, there is so much hype about them and they were one of the best sellers when i was working at sephora, but i wasnt all that impressed. i find them to be much stickier than a lot of other lines. theyre also kind of a rip off. 20 bucks for a lip gloss?! the gloss i am in love with right now is actually by cover girl, so if you try that instead itll save ya some coinage. its called amazemint lip gloss and it has peppermint in it that feels cool and tingly and freshens breath and the colors are actually really beautiful (theres a pinky-purple one that looks good on literally everyone)

If you put too much eyeliner on, it'll be too dark and you'll look like a tramp. A little eyeliner will define your features and yes, make you look a little older. Mascara will add length and volume to our eyelashes. If you have long eyelashes, don't wear cuz you'll look like you have a spider for an eye. Only apply about two coats. Anymore, and you'll have clumps and weird looking eyelashes. Lipgloss is for any age. :) And ur right foundation is stupid. If you have pimples, then go to your doctor and he/she will prescribe medication for you. Although to be honest, there shouldn't be any probs with it running anyway, as eyeliner is designed to stay put, and is probably even less likely to bleed than lip liner.

Like someone's already mentioned, make sure you moisturize your lips first, as eyeliner doesn't have the same moisturizing properties that most lipliners have.

Best brands for concealer, foundation, eye pencil/liner, blusher and lip gloss?
Concealer...the gold standard is Cle de Peau Beaute but it's pretty pricey. L'Oreal makes some good ones.
Foundation...Lancome, Clinique and MAC have good ones, as does L'Oreal. The best one for you will depend on your skin type and how much coverage you want.
Eye pencil/liner...there isn't that much difference between brands. I like MAC Powerpoint pencils and Sephora pencils, however any one from the drugstore will probably be OK.

Foundation if it is liquid typically lasts longer than powder. Usually about 8-10 hours.
Eyeliner last a LONG time...for me at least.
Eyeshadow will typically last as long as a powder foundations 6-8 hours as long as you dont rub your eyes too much.

Mascara will start to clump and smell funny. Powder, blush and eyeshadow usually will become harder to use, you will have to work harder to get the desired amount of color. You are not supposed to use mascara after 3 months, but I think as long as none of these things are happening you will be fine.

The dark ring started on the top lip and gradually grew around the entire outside of my lip lines. It wasnt painful at first but is now getting very sensitive and hurting the corners of my mouth. THE BEST EYELINER,,,,isnt eyeliner.....get a small brush that is angled (you can get a cheap small angled paintbrush) make it moist and use black or brown eyeshadow. It will last longer, and will be soooo much easier to put on.....as for lipstick...i dont like lipstick. I use Lip Gloss....and for that, you have to play around and get a whole bunch of the cheap ones just to find out what color you like best....I like (but its expensive) Perscriptives Peach Fizz Lip Gloss. Liquid liner looks more dramatic, and lasts longer---but stings like the dickens if you get it in your eye. I prefer a soft pencil.
For eye products I prefer Maybelline, but Loreal has good eye pencils.
For lipstick? Nuetrogena, hands down. It leave your lips feeling soft.
And don't forget to remove every speck of any makeup before bed to avoid break outs!
I have maybelline, the twisty eyeliner, it's really good and lasts ages. Also I did have (until I fell and it broke in my bag :o( )the Maybelline Ice Tea lipstick, it's a really nice colour and lasts well without leaving my lips dry

THE BEST EYELINER,,,,isnt eyeliner.....get a small brush that is angled (you can get a cheap small angled paintbrush) make it moist and use black or brown eyeshadow. It will last longer, and will be soooo much easier to put on.....as for lipstick...i dont like lipstick. I use Lip Gloss....and for that, you have to play around and get a whole bunch of the cheap ones just to find out what color you like best....I like (but its expensive) Perscriptives Peach Fizz Lip Gloss. Liquid liner looks more dramatic, and lasts longer---but stings like the dickens if you get it in your eye. I prefer a soft pencil.
For eye products I prefer Maybelline, but Loreal has good eye pencils.
For lipstick? Nuetrogena, hands down. It leave your lips feeling soft.
And don't forget to remove every speck of any makeup before bed to avoid break outs!
I have maybelline, the twisty eyeliner, it's really good and lasts ages. Also I did have (until I fell and it broke in my bag :o( )the Maybelline Ice Tea lipstick, it's a really nice colour and lasts well without leaving my lips dry

I have thin lips and I always put lip liner on that's the same colour as my lip to help make it look not so thin. I'm thinking of getting it permenantly done. Has anybody done this before? Any opinions or suggestions?

i dont know. i dont think i would try that if i were you. your eyes are a very sensitive part of your face and some of the ingredients should not be used on your eyes. to be on the safe side, sephora has a wide range of colors and if you check out the sephora brand it is very inexpensive. hope this helps

A night cream often has more hydrating and moisturizing ingredients, such as oils. They're great at night, if you have dry skin, but if you wear them in daytime, it would look greasy, and maybe not to attractive. Some Night creams also have special ingredients like retinoids or alpha hydroxy acids, which will make your skin more sensitive to sunlight. Day creams often has some amount of spf, which is very unnecessary at night. If you just want to use one cream, use a light weight lotion without spf.

I was watching the Tyra Banks show the other day and she said that no one is supposed to know that you are wearing lip liner. I am a black girl who wears brown lip liner on top of clear lip gloss. I don't really like to wear alot of make-up, so I try to keep it really simple. Is this a make-up ';no-no';? Do any of you do this? Well good on you for experimenting with Lip-Liner. This look does sound pretty cool, because it could work with your skin tone, but I think you could improve it by wearing a brown coloured lip gloss over the top instead of clear.
Furthermore, another tip is to line your lips before you put anything over them. One idea is to line them in a colour the same as your lips, cover in lipstick and then clear gloss!

mainly latinas, but i dont like that look its so old fashioned dont try it, u should just wear gloss alone or use the colorful glosses with mocca colors those look nice for ur skin type

I used to do this like 10 years ago when I was a freshman in high school. I look back at pictures and think... what was I doing? I should have listened to my mom when she told me it looked horrible. However, its a preference thing. If you like it.... and its your style, who is to tell you that its a no-no? I dont see anyone do this anymore, and I am sure that if you try new things out you will find something that is not so defined, yet still looks really good with your skin. If you like brown eyeliner, try a lipstick with a brown tone in it. If you like the clear look, try a nude liner. I think that would be your best bet! Good luck! Try new things out and see what you get the most compliments with!
This is a huge no-no. The last time I saw that was in the 90's. All you have to do is find a natural lip gloss. Try going to Sephora they have tons to choose from. Victoria's Secret also has some very pretty colors.

If you smudge and blend the line and then put some gloss on it, it's more subtle and flattering then a harsh, dark line with gloss on it. Or just filling in the entire lip first and then putting some gloss over it.
I remember seeing the dark liner and gloss look a lot in the 90s, but most of the time it was really, really dark purple or even blackish looking.

Hi, I'm a makeup artist at Sephora. I would be happy to help you. Any liner application (eyeliner or lip liner) takes a lot of practice to get the perfect line. Expect to mess up the first few times. After you practice a few times you'll get used to it and you will be drawing perfect lines before you know it.
It is very simple. I wouldn't use a sharp pencil. What I do is I let the tip of the pencil soften a little bit by just pinching it with my thumb and index finger. This will make it easier to glide. Start from the the outer lip and continue down. Do your upper lip first, then the bottom. Make sure the line is blended with your lips. If you don't, when you talk, it will look silly. Also, don't forget to connect the corners.

Top lip: start in the middle and do small stroke to define the cresting part of lip on top; then, from corners, move in to the middle, maybe even taking two strokes, depending on how wide and defined your lips are...bottom: start in corners and make a small stroke inward, but be a lil more daring when you finish the middle section by going just a smidge outside your natural lip line. this will add a plumpness to your lips and the gloss or lipstick you apply afterward will not run into those fine lines and small wrinkles under your lips. VIOLA', your lipstick will last longer throughout the day, and you will look good, too. (also, you can make that one stick of lipstick that you had bought at the store with the fancy lighting, assuming that it would look that good when you got home, and now you are stuck with it...into a different shade with a lip-liner pencil of your choosing and add in the color inside the lip area until desired shade is obtained...I recommend a wax self sharpening 'pen'/pencil over a wooden one that requires sharpening--less mess and no painful dry application.)

yes you can use lip liner as eye liner... i use red lip liner on my eyes all the time... and it looks AWESOME!
the way i get it to stay is put on the liner and then take a small make-up brush like a lip brush, dip it in transluslent powder (like mary kate and ashley transluslent setting powder) and brush it over the liner... just DO NOT use it on the water line... you dont want to get the powder in your eye itr hurts!
When i use the red liner i put it on the top lid and under the bottom lashes but only half way and then use black on the water line... it looks fantabulous!
anyway i hope this helps!
It probably won't wear well or stay on very long without smearing. Another thing is that the lip liner may not be safe to use in the eye area and you could have a bad reaction to it. You can probably take it back to wherever you got it and exchange it for eye liner.
