lipliner is a liner you put on your lips to keep lipstick from running. or just to outline your lips. sometimes you use it as the same color as your lipstick or a shade different for a different effect. :)Lip Liner, what is it? Never understood...?
Lip liner is similar to eyeliner, it comes in a pencil usually and looks virtually the same. It is used to line the lips, so you outline your lips around the edge the way you would with eyeliner. It comes in a variety of colours, you could probably find one to match any shade of lipstick and you can buy it anywhere you can buy other types of makeup.
Lip liner is the most abused cosmetic! Here's the thing. You're supposed to buy the color of your lips, at their darkest. You apply it to define the outer edge of your lips, where the color fades to lighter. Fade the color inward toward your mouth, never just draw a line. If it's done right, you never see it! Your lips just look a bit fuller, more defined. Lipstick of any color is applied lightly over it. Personally, I prefer clear, natural chap stick.
Some women who have flat lips or small lips use it to outline the lips to give them shape, and plumpyness.It can make your lips look bigger because you are adding more pink or red around them. you buy it as a pencil that comes in tons of different colours and draw it on then but lipstick over top so you dont see it. some women make the mistake of drawing bad lines or not putting anything over top to cover it up and it looks bad.You may have seen it before! um dont ever use it... i was watching a show with this makeup artist who works on celebrities the only time you should use it is when. your lips are uneven or theres somthing not right with them. then you use it you outline your lips then fill it in with a lipstick or gloss.. you can buy it in any drugstore... and like tops walmart.. anything.. that sells makeup it comes in lots of colors i would start with a lighter pink or red if you were just starting and theres anywhere from pinks to blacks.. its kinda crazy
