What is the best lip-liner?
I'm looking for one which doesn't smudge or ';bleed'; like most of your basic liners will do. Light Raisin or some kind of Icy Lilac is what I'm looking for.What is the best lip-liner?

On a daily basis, I wouldnt suggest lip liner because it gives you an un-natural lip look. But if you were to wear lipstick, you could consider if that type of lipstick tends to bleed. And if you are still interested in wearing lip liner, buy the nude or clear colour kinds! They are sold in those colours and therefore it wont show up as much on your lips. I heard about this clear lip liner that keeps your lipstick in place. Well, I have a problem with my eyeliner bleeding and smudging under my eyes. I don't wear base all the time, so I was wondering if this clear lip liner could be applied under my eyeliner, under my eyes.

If it goes in your eyes you culd be in trouble. I suggest something less waters. Sticky and thick would be good. Here is a great brand Max factor. I wouldn't reccomend their lipgloss since it's like wearing treacle. They actually specialize in long lasting everything. My friend Lucy gave me some sample since last summer she worked at Max factor. Try some it will work wonder but it will be hard to take off. Lip liner is not necessarily 'out'. Of course the heavily lined lip is not attractive at all. Just Follow The Outside Line On Your Lips.

horrible! It hurts because it swells up so bad. And they ended up doing it the wrong color so it wasn't the color I wanted. But after that, I didn't wanna go through it again cause it was so painful, so now I have to wear lipstick over it. i know my aunt did that. i dont' think it'd be worth it. i have four tats myself...but i wouldn't tattoo makeup on. there are days you just don't wear it anyway. you'd be stuck with the same color all the time too. who wants that?
I haven't done it, but i dont recommend it cuz the color probably wont be right and cuz the way you do your makeup will change, but the tattoo will always be there. try a gloss instead...it looks ALOT better! :)

my friend's mom did it and it looks great on her..she's lightish and she did it a purplish-brownish shade n it matches w/pretty much everything she wears..it has faded slightly after a while though so that may be one down-side to it

i have lip therapy and it definitely works. every time your lip feels dry apply it and your lips should get back to normal in no time

I'm no proffesional but I've been painting my face everyday from the age of 9 on up (even if in the beginning my mother was too embarrassed to let me leave the house (-:). Here's my best advice.
Star with a shade close to the natural color of your lips, perhaps a new or pale pink, this way if you really make a mistake the dyes in the color will not dye your skin, and you can fix it or tweak it easily. Apply your concealer or base foundation as usual, work on your eye makeup and all other areas first. Lip making must be reapplied the most often, so I always do it last. Then apply a thin coat of your foundation and setting powder to your lips, they will look dry, but no worries we will fix that with our lip color or sheen in a few. Now make the famous make p O face, (ya know the one noone can avoid making when applying mascara), slowly and surely trace the lines of your lips like you would trace a drawing through tracing paper. Make sure to stay within the lines of your lips to avoid this effect looking unatural or fake. If there are slight differences between both sides of your mouth (and there almost always is with everyone we are not symetric but making it appear so is a true mark of beauty), slightly fluff up one side or deflate one sides lines to make them match. Use small alteration, perhaps under draw one side and over draw the other slightly so you don't look too made up. If you make any mistakes they sell terrific twist tipped Q-tips for correcting fines maing lines in all drug stores, or do what I do, lick the end of a Q-tip, twist it in your mouth and remove what you've drawn outside the lines. This may take a while to get good at, it may even take several minutes on your first attempt but once finished move on to lip color.
If you did use a nude or pale pink liner, try and find a nude or pale pink shimmer lip color to apply over the entire lip and line. The line should fade somewhat and just leave you with a pursed pout that is OH so sexy. For night make-up, or just sensual all day lips top it off with a gloss in a fun flavor or scent, the scent in these lip glosses and sheens have been clinically proven to work like aromatherapy and help the wearer feel more beautiful, sexy or confident all day long.
The finishing touch, place youfinger in your mouth, close your lips around that finger and pull the finger out. This act removes all color or lip shade on the inside of the lips that may lead to embarrassing lipstick on teeth incidents.
Final Step,... just be your gorgeous self, make-up may make us all feel better, but your gorgeous without it, know you don't need it, and feel pampered, sexy, and accomplished knowing you did it all yourself.

put some powder that is a shade lighter than your skin color just outside of your lip line, then put eyeliner, lipstick and gloss.

If you make any mistakes they sell terrific twist tipped Q-tips for correcting fines maing lines in all drug stores, or do what I do, lick the end of a Q-tip, twist it in your mouth and remove what you've drawn outside the lines. This may take a while to get good at, it may even take several minutes on your first attempt but once finished move on to lip color.
If you did use a nude or pale pink liner, try and find a nude or pale pink shimmer lip color to apply over the entire lip and line. I put on vaseline, outline my lips (lightly) and colour it in and then put on lipgloss over it.

lots of people wear it but they dont wear it so dark that people can see it and it looks noticable. Now they keep it light and soft. Most people use lip liner so they can see wear your lips end and skin starts and so the lip stick wont bleed out of the lip area.

If the liner matches with the lipstick, it can look very nice.

What color eyeshadow/liner/mascara/lip gloss should I use?
I have blonde hair with all different shades (like from corn silk to dirty blonde) and a fairish-to-barely medium skintone.
My eyes are a lightish blue-green color (think a lighter, bluer version of Urban Decay's Flipside eyeshadow, if that helps at all) with a dark circle of cobalt on the outside. They also have a kind of swirl of greenish gold.
My lips are a kind of dusty-rose (like Urban Decay's Kiss mixed with Purple Haze).

First off, I had my lips tattooed over 15 years ago and I touched them up with a different color about 9 years ago and they still look great. It is all about who does them. I have never seen any permanent makeup done by doctors that I liked.
I have also been doing cosmetic tattooing since 1991 and it is my experience that unless you choose a very light neutral lip liner color it does not look good alone. It looks like you forgot the rest of your makeup. The dark lip liners look bad to me. I always go for the complete fill.

I did it once with a red lip liner for a dress up day because I couldn't find a red eyeliner. I made sure not to put it on my waterline or too close to my eyes though.

Lip liner is a really good thing to use. It helps your lip stick stay on a little better when you are eating or drinking. It also defines the shape of your lips a little more.
Line your lips around the natural shape of your lips. Don't try to make them bigger or thinner. I suggest starting with the top lip in the center, then do the bottom lip. After you are finished you put on your lipstick.
You definatly need to be careful about chosing the color. You don't want it it be to dark or to light. The lipstick %26amp; liner should be close to the same color so it blends well. You don't want to see the lip liner once you apply the lipstick. It just doesn't look good.Lip Liner!?!?!?!?

Your supposed to pick the same shade of lipliner as your lipstick or lighter becuause you want a to cover the liner not make it obvious. I reccomend checking out Mac lipliners and Stila's. They both have very pretty shades of lipliner to choose from. I hope that helps! :)

right, im just getting into make up and was wondering... what is the role of lip liner... i heard on tv that it is to stop feathering however i have no idea what this means...

I do it all the time, I think it looks more vampy... although! I have gotten the 'cheap skank' comment. You have to be careful it doesn't look like those heavy lined latina lips.

As for lip liner, stick to your exact lip color since I'm guessing the gold lipstick is probably concentrated for that whole gold color. Personally, I'd think if your skin is as deep as you say, you can get you gold on as eye shadow instead and concentrate on a berry or wine color as lipstick and add some highlighter for glow. I would look for a bronze-gold color that can blend into the lipstick. If you can't find a lipliner the right color look for eyeliner pencils that look right, because they will work just as well.

The best tip I have gotten(and I love make-up) is to apply the lipstick or gloss first. Then apply the lip liner over, chances are you cant see the lip liner line around the lips. If you can visibly see the line try to rub it in more or re-apply.
I rest my pinky on my chin to put it on and it comes out even and nice that way. Make sure the lip liner is close to the color of lip stick your going to put on also,otherwise it looks tacky,like you have a ring around your mouth in a different color.

You can use lip liner in the edge, but not out the edge.

You get a color very similar to the color of your lipstick, maybe 1 shade darker, and start in the point of your upper lip where it goes into a V. Go from the bottom of that point upwards in both directions. Then start from the tops of the V and go both ways outwards to the bend of your lips. Then go from one side to the other, all the way. Only do this on the outer part. If you want your lipstick to stay on longer you can color your lips in with it before you apply the lipstick.
